Vertigo ventricosa, common name the five-tooth vertigo, is a species of small air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusk in the family Vertiginidae,[1] the whorl snails.
(Original description) Animal: The dorsal and cephalic portions of body, and tentacles are jet black.
The anterior portion of the disk is dark slate, becoming lighter towards caudal extremity.
The buccal plate is wide, narrow, not produced in centre, but slightly curving at ends.
The peristome is widely reflected, the right margin flexuose, within thickened and colored.
