Victorino Dennis Macalinao Socrates (born September 21, 1961) is a Filipino politician who is the governor of the province of Palawan since 2022.

[1][2] Prior to this, he served as vice governor of Palawan[3] from 2013 to 2022.

[5] He also served as mayor of Puerto Princesa from 2001 to 2002, when he lost a recall election against former mayor Edward Hagedorn.

[7] He is the son of Salvador Socrates,[8] a former governor of Palawan who died in a plane crash while in office in 2000.

[9] His sister, Maria Nancy Socrates, is a vice mayor of Puerto Princesa.
