Vincent Riou (born 9 January 1972, Pont-l'Abbé, France) is a French sailor.
[1] As part of his introduction to solo racing he helped, prepare Michel Desjoyeaux’s 60-foot PRB for the 2000 edition of the Vendée Globe.
In the 2008 Vendée Globe, he lost his mast the day after a collision that occurred during the rescue of Jean Le Cam, whose boat had capsized.
[2] In the 2016 Vendée Globe, he sailed at a decent speed, competing with front boats fitted with hydrofoils, but after 15 days 11 hours 58 minutes of racing and completing 27%[3] of the whole race, he was forced to retire after another collision with a UFO.
