Volvarina abbreviata is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Marginellidae, the margin snails.

The shell is white, smooth and shining.

The outer lip is incurved and contracting the aperture.

The columella with shows four plaits of which the upper one is small.
