Waldron is a city in Scott County, Arkansas, United States.

[7] Waldron was reached by the Arkansas Western Railroad from Heavener, Oklahoma in 1901.

Waldron is located approximately 38 miles south of Fort Smith, near the Poteau River.

The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters.
