Wang Mengkui

Wang Mengkui (Chinese: 王梦奎; born April 1938) is a Chinese politician who served as director of the Development Research Center of the State Council from 1998 to 2007.

[1] He was an alternate member of the 14th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and a member of the 15th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party.

[1][2] After graduating in 1964, he was assigned to Red Flag magazine as an editor, a post he kept until May 1969.

He was an official in the State Planning Commission (now National Development and Reform Commission) in September 1987, and was elevated to deputy director of its Economic Research Center in September 1988.

In March 2003, he took office as vice chairperson of the National People's Congress Financial and Economic Affairs Committee.
