Spondias

See Selected species Spondias is a genus of flowering plants in the cashew family, Anacardiaceae.

Spondias pinnata is called Pulicha kaai in the Tamil language, which means "sour fruit."

The fruit is a drupe similar to a small mango (in the related genus Mangifera), 4–10 cm long, ripening yellow or orange.
