Wayne is a town in Lafayette County, Wisconsin, United States.
[3] The town was named in honor of "Mad" Anthony Wayne, a Revolutionary War general.
The village of South Wayne, a separate municipality, is surrounded by the northeast part of the town.
As of the census[4] of 2000, there were 496 people, 176 households, and 139 families residing in the town.
17.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 5.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
