Werner Gruber (born 15 March 1970) is an Austrian physicist, author, lecturer, and cabaret artist and is well known from ORF and as a member of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ).
Gruber grew up in Ansfelden, Upper Austria and graduated in 1999 with a degree in physics from the University of Vienna.
In February 2016, after Heinz Oberhummer's death, Gruber announced to leave the Science Busters, citing health problems of his own.
In early 2010 Gruber became known for a demonstration of the ineffectiveness of full body scanners, which are to be introduced in the security control at airports, on ZDF.
