The racial makeup of the CDP was 96.06% White, 1.04% Black or African American, 0.14% Native American, 0.21% Asian, 1.52% from other races, and 1.04% from two or more races.

There were 706 households, out of which 18.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.4% were married couples living together, 6.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 39.2% were non-families.

33.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 15.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
