West Hills is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of Huntington, Suffolk County, New York.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 4.9 square miles (13 km2), all land.
As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 5,607 people, 1,978 households, and 1,647 families residing in the CDP.
There were 2,008 housing units at an average density of 405.3 per square mile (156.5/km2).
13.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
