West Jones High School

Kacey Chandler (11th-12th) Jeremiah Keyes (10th-9th grades) West Jones High School, the "Home of the Mustangs," is a public school in Laurel, Mississippi, part of the Jones County School District.

The school was named the state's Tech Prep Exemplary Site for 1975–2003 by the Tech Prep Exemplary Site Selection Committee.

[2] The school is one of the biggest located in Jones County hosting around fourteen hundred students.

Such large numbers have seen the school renovate several times, with the Performing Arts Center, a new cafeteria, and new technology systems all being constructed within the last several years.

Several crappie tournaments are hosted at Lake Lotta Hockey throughout the year.
