West Mountain (Utah County, Utah)

West Mountain is a mountain in Utah, United States that is located 15.35 miles (25 km) southwest of the city of Provo, and 4.7 miles (8 km) west of the community of Benjamin.

The mountain is also home to various FM radio translators and an observatory used by students from Brigham Young University (BYU).

The radio station tower sits on the second-highest point on the mountain, about 2 miles north of the true summit.

[2] The following are translators and radio stations located on the mountain (in order of frequency): As well as radio stations, the mountain houses several cellular telephone transmitters providing service for AT&T Wireless, Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile.

Those wishing to access the mountain are suggested to use four wheel drive vehicles.
