West Union is a town in Steuben County, New York, United States.

The Town of West Union is in the southwest corner of the county and south of the city of Hornell, New York.

West Union was formed from part of the Town of Greenwood in 1845.

The racial makeup of the town was 98.75% White, 0.75% Native American, 0.50% from other races.
