The white-eared brown dove (Phapitreron leucotis) is a species of bird in the family Columbidae.
[2] This species population is decreasing in number due to habitat loss, hunting and the capture for the illegal wildlife trade.
It is illegal to hunt, capture or possess white-eared brown doves under Philippine Law RA 9147.
[3] EBird describes the bird as "A fairly small dove of forest and edge from the lowlands to the lower mountains.
Similar to Amethyst Brown-Dove, but White-eared has blue on the back of the neck and white under the base of the tail.
