William Craig (businessman)

William Slater Gold Craig (c. 1903–1972) was a Scottish businessman.

In 1921, with his brother Jack, he established West Coast Motor Service Company.

After serving as a pilot in the Royal Flying Corps during World War I, his brother, Jack, settled in Campbeltown, Argyll, in 1919.

[1] In 1935, Craig arranged for West Coast Motors Service to deliver the Royal Mail's letters and parcels on an overnight service between Glasgow and Campbeltown, instead of via steamship.

[1] The Craigs purchased Benmore distillery in 1936, and moved WCMS into the premises.
