William Farley (Medal of Honor)

William Farley (born 1835, date of death unknown) was a Union Navy sailor in the American Civil War and a recipient of the U.S. military's highest decoration, the Medal of Honor, for his actions during an 1863 engagement.

Born in 1835 in Whitefield, Maine, Farley joined the Navy from Boston, Massachusetts in December 1860.

While on the Stono River on December 25, 1863, Marblehead came under fire from Confederate forces at the Battle of Legareville on Johns Island.
