William Taverner (New Zealand politician)

William Burgoyne Taverner OBE (16 August 1879 – 17 July 1958) was a New Zealand Member of Parliament for the United Party, and Mayor of Dunedin.

[5] In 1935, he was awarded the King George V Silver Jubilee Medal.

[6] He was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the 1953 New Year Honours, for services to the community.
