Via funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the WHS campus is divided into four smaller schools and focus on different areas of study: Since July 3, 2001, AIS, WAAST, and WACA have offered International Baccalaureate courses and students can earn a full IB diploma.
In 2012, 3 Woodburn High School Students were charged with first-degree arson and reckless endangerment after they set fire part of the building while playing around with Hand sanitizer and a lighter.
The fire caused an estimated $5.5 million in damages, Only 1 student was sentenced to 4 days in Juvenile detention.
