Yasmín Mejías Lugo is a Puerto Rican actress, comedian, singer, politician and former Senator.
At that show, Pedro Juan Texidor played her husband, "Tato".
In 2000, Mejías was elected to the Senate of Puerto Rico for the District of Carolina.
[2] However, at the 2004 general elections, she lost to the candidates of the PNP, Lornna Soto and Héctor Martínez Maldonado.
She is currently working as coordinator of two community programs: Llave, for drug users; and Vivienda Transitoria, for homeless people.
