Yasmeen Murshed

Yasmeen Murshed (born 19 May 1945)[1] is a Bangladeshi businesswoman, founder of Scholastica School and a former advisor of the caretaker government led by President Iajuddin Ahmed.

[2][3] Yasmeen Murshed was born on 19 May 1945 to Khwaja Zakiuddin and Begum Binoo in Calcutta in the then Bengal Province, British India.

Her mother's family originated from Bogra and her maternal uncle, Habibur Rahman, was a member of the Pakistan cabinet in the 1960s.

She earned her bachelor's degree in English and master's in economics in 1969 at the University of the Punjab during her husbands posting in Lahore and Islamabad.
