She made her international debut at the 1991 Pan American Games where she won gold as part of the group.

[citation needed] In 1995, she competed at the Pan American Games in Mar del Plata, where she won gold in the All-Around, with clubs and with rope, she was also silver medalist in the teams competition.

[2] Two years later Yordania won All-Around, rope, hoop and clubs' gold as well as bronze with ribbon and in teams along Yasleidis Rodriguez and Yamile Sotolongo at the Pan American Championships in Medellín.

In 1998, she was crowned All-Around, rope, hoop and clubs' champion at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Maracaibo.

[5] The following year she won bronze in the All-Around at the 1999 Pan American Games, and she was then selected for the World Championships in Osaka.
