Sondakh married a former Karateka Jenny Zeannet.

During his pro career, Sondakh faced articular cartilage damage that influenced his decision to retire in 2012 at the age of 28.

In 2014, Sondakh was entrusted with the position of assistant coach to accompany Tjokorda Raka.

Youbel then took over as head coach in the 2017 season and succeeded in winning his first title as a coach in 2018 after beating Pelita Jaya Jakarta in the finals.
