Yu-11 torpedo

It entered service in the 2010s as the principal anti-submarine weapon of major People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) warships.

Compared to its predecessor Yu-7 torpedo, the major improvement appears to be the pump-jet propulsor.

The Yu-11 torpedo is quieter and may potentially operate at depths greater than 600 metres.

[1] The overall capability is said to be similar to the US Mark 50 torpedo.

It can be launched from a C802 platform, or from export variants of 056A and 054A.
