[3][6] She studied physical education and sports at Erciyes University in her hometown.
[5][7] At age 13, she began practising with the initiative of her father Mehmet Murat, who wanted her to become courageous.

[5][8][9] She won the silver medal at the 2005 World Taekwondo Championships in Madrid, Spain.
