Ziyad Mukhamedovich Sabsabi (Russian: Зияд Мухамедович Сабсаби, Arabic: زياد محمدوفيتش سبسبي; born 1 February 1964), is a Syrian-Russian politician who served as a Member of the Federation Council from the legislative authority of the Chechen Republic from 2008 to 2019.
[2] From 1991 to 1994, Sabsabi worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, and headed the department for external relations.
In December 2007, he ran for elections to the State Duma of the 5th convocation from the Chechen Republic.
[3] On 26 November 2008, Sabsabi became the Member of the Federation Council from the legislative authority of the Chechen Republic.
[1] On 6 November 2019, the Federation Council terminated Sabsabi's powers ahead of schedule at his request, and was replaced by his successor, Mokhmad Akhmadov.
