[citation needed] In 2010, he was appointed Minister of State for the National Economy,[3][4] where he served as the ministry's Parliamentary Secretary as well.
[5] During this period, he managed the negotiations with the International Monetary Fund and the European Commission in addressing the Hungarian deficit crisis.
[7] After the end of his posting with UNESCO and OECD, he took up a senior grantholder's position in December 2018 at the European Commission's Joint Research Centre in Seville, Spain,[8] where his work focused on the impact of robotics on European industry[9] and the economic drivers of competitiveness.
[10] In 2014, he was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland in recognition of his work in the field of Polish-Hungarian bilateral economic cooperation.
