The 1999 Tennessee State Tigers football team represented Tennessee State University as a member of the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) during the 1999 NCAA Division I-AA football season.
Led by fourth-year head coach L. C. Cole, the Tigers compiled an overall record of 11–1, with a conference record of 7–0, and finished as OVC champion.
Tennessee State was upset by North Carolina A&T in the first round of the NCAA Division I-AA playoffs.
