The 2022–23 Southern Miss Lady Eagles basketball team represented the University of Southern Mississippi during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I women's basketball season.

The team was led by 19th-year head coach Joye Lee-McNelis, and played their home games at the Reed Green Coliseum in Hattiesburg, Mississippi as a member of the Sun Belt Conference.

The Lady Eagles finished as co-conference regular-season champions with a record of 21–10 overall and 13–5 in conference play.

The Lady Eagles finished 18–12 and 9–8 in conference play for the 2021–22 basketball season.

In March 2022, Southern Miss, as well as C-USA members Old Dominion and Marshall, announced that they would be joining the Sun Belt Conference effective July 1, 2022 to compete as full-time members for the 2022–23 season.
