In the Moto2 class, Augusto Fernández claimed the riders' title by finishing in second behind Pedro Acosta, whilst his closest championship rival Ai Ogura retired after an accident.

This was also the final Grand Prix in Moto2 for Simone Corsi, Jorge Navarro, Cameron Beaubier, and Marcel Schrötter.
