Held on 7–8 September 2022 at the Letzigrund, it served as the finals of the 2022 Diamond League – the highest level international track and field circuit.
It was the second time that Zürich exclusively hosted the Diamond League finals,[1] after the 2021 edition.
[2] The meeting was highlighted by 2022 world leads from Jakob Ingebrigtsen, Marileidy Paulino, and Emmanuel Korir on the track.
Despite headwinds, the women's sprints were fast with Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce running 10.65 in the 100 metres.
Regardless of points accumulated throughout the season, winners of the 2022 Weltklasse Zürich were crowned 2022 Diamond League champions in their respective events.
