Alonzo Mayes

Alonzo Lewis Mayes, Jr. (born June 4, 1975) is an American former professional football player who was a tight end for three seasons with the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL).

He played college football for the Oklahoma State Cowboys, earning consensus All-American honor in 1997.

[1] He attended Frederick A. Douglass High School in Oklahoma City,[2] where he played for the Douglass Trojans high school football team.

As a senior in 1997, he was recognized as a consensus first-team All-American at tight end.

In three NFL seasons with the Bears, Mayes played in thirty-seven games, started twenty-eight of them, and compiled thirty-three receptions for 339 yards and a touchdown.
