Green played college football for the Florida Gators, earning consensus All-American honors in 1997.
Green suffered a major injury when he dislocated his hip in the 1995 national championship game against the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

[7] Before the 2002 season, he signed as a free agent with the Washington Redskins and reunited with former Florida Gators and Buccaneers teammate Reidel Anthony.
He ended his NFL career starting 37 of the 66 games in which he played, registering 162 receptions for 2,311 yards and seven touchdowns.
