Alonzo Whitney Adams (March 7, 1820 – February 22, 1887) was an American lawyer, politician and military officer.
Born in Caroline, New York, he served in the California legislature.
[2][3] During the American Civil War Adams fought at the Battle of Antietam as major and commander of the 1st Regiment New York Volunteer Cavalry.
Alonzo W. Adams died February 22, 1887[2] and is buried at LaGrange, Ohio.
