Arctiin is a lignan found in many plants of the family Asteraceae, particularly the greater burdock (Arctium lappa) and Centaurea imperialis, and in Trachelospermum asiaticum, Saussurea heteromalla,[1] and Forsythia viridissima.
Arctiin and arctigenin have shown anticancer effects in animal research.
