The route runs from the Oklahoma state line east to US 59/US 71 in Hatfield.

A second segment runs from US 59/US 71 near Vandervoort east to AR 84 in Athens.

Both routes are maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT).

[3] The first route began at US 71 near Vandevoort and ran east for 8 miles (13 km).
