Asyljan Sarybaiuly Mamytbekov (Kazakh: Асылжан Сарыбайұлы Мамытбеков, Asyljan Sarybaiūly Mamytbekov; born 17 September 1968) is a Kazakh politician who's served as the executive secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture from May 2018 to March 2019.
Prior to that, he was the Minister of Agriculture from April 2011 until his resignation in May 2016 as a result of protests against land reforms in Kazakhstan.
[1] From 1992, he was a junior research fellow at the Institute of State and Law of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
[2][3] He worked in the position for five years until he resigned due to result of unrest regarding the land issue and the announcement by President Nursultan Nazarbayev of his incomplete official compliance.
[4][5] After serving as Minister, Mamytbekov became the independent director of Bank Astana JSC on 6 June 2016 and in January 2018, he was appointed as chairman of the Meat Union of Kazakhstan.
