Atopochilus is a genus of upside-down catfishes native to Africa.

There are currently seven recognized species in this genus:[1] Atopochilus species have their lips and barbels modified into a suckermouth.

[2] Atopochilus species range in size from 6.0–14.1 centimetres (2.4–5.6 inches) in length.
