B. J. Thompson (American football)

Brandon Lamar Thompson Jr. (born March 23, 1999) is an American professional football defensive end for the Kansas City Chiefs in the National Football League (NFL).

[1] Thompson started his college career at Baylor where he played for two years and tallied 18 tackles, six going for a loss, five sacks, and two pass deflections.

Thompson was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fifth round (166th overall) of the 2023 NFL draft.

[7] On June 6, 2024, Thompson suffered a cardiac arrest after having a seizure in a team meeting with the Chiefs.

[8][9] On July 17, 2024, Thompson was placed on the Active/NFI list, then placed on reserves to begin the season.
