Badgemore

William the Conqueror gave Henry de Ferrers a considerable number of manors including Badgemore in Oxfordshire.

[3] In 1884 Ovey commissioned John Norton to re-model and enlarge the house.

[4] Ovey leased Badgemore to Admiral of the Fleet the Earl of Clanwilliam who received a visit from Carola, Queen of Saxony there in April 1905.

[6] The house is now a serviced office facility within the grounds of a golf club.

[7] On 31 December 1894 Badgemore became a separate civil parish, being formed from part of Henley on Thames, on 1 April 1952 the parish was abolished and merged with Bix and Rotherfield Greys.
