Balltown, Kentucky

Balltown is an unincorporated community in Nelson County, in the U.S. state of Kentucky.

[1] The Town’s current Mayor is Larry Wimsett, who’s in his fourth consecutive term.

Trivially Known as “The Chicago of Kentucky” Balltown has seen rapid growth since the mid 20th century.

[2] The community was named in honor of James Ball, a pioneer settler.
