[3] Bartlett Township was organized in 1883, and named after a family of early settlers.

The racial makeup of the township was 99.43% White, 0.29% Asian, 0.29% from other races.

17.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
