Turtle Creek Township, Todd County, Minnesota

With a maximum depth of 21 feet its fish species are more diverse and include black bullhead, black crappie, bluegill, brown bullhead, green sunfish, hybrid sunfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, pumpkinseed, sunfish, walleye, yellow bullhead, yellow perch, bowfin (dogfish), white sucker, blacknose shiner, bluntnose minnow, central mudminnow, golden shiner, Iowa darter, Johnny darter, spottail shiner, the tadpole madtom.

[6] Turtle Creek Wildlife Management Area is located partially section 31 of the township.

This 319.8 acre WMA contains the Mud Lake wetland with cattails, low land grass and brush.

Management of this unit focuses on maintaining and improving the wetland and habitat for a diversity of native plants and wildlife.

The racial makeup of the township was 96.28% White, 0.62% Native American, 0.31% Asian, and 2.79% from two or more races.
