Barto Township, Roseau County, Minnesota

Barto Township was named for an immigrant settler from Bohemia.

[3] According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 36.9 square miles (96 km2), all land.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 142 people, 51 households, and 44 families residing in the township.

There were 51 households, out of which 37.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 80.4% were married couples living together, 2.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 13.7% were non-families.

11.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
