Ben H. Mahon was born on April 15, 1888, in Liberty, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin.
[1] Mahon was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in 1916 and re-elected in 1920.
[1][2] In 1922, he was elected to the Wisconsin State Senate and remained a member until his death.
[4] Mahon died on October 25, 1924, at his home in Milwaukee from tuberculosis.
[4] On January 22, 1925, the Senate passed a resolution for a memorial in Mahon's name.
