Bereznehuvate

Bereznehuvate (Ukrainian: Березнегувате, Russian: Березнегова́тое) is a rural settlement in Bashtanka Raion in the east of Mykolaiv Oblast, Ukraine.

[1] The settlement is located on the right bank of the Vysun, a right tributary of the Inhulets, in the basin of the Dnieper.

It is first mentioned in 1787 and was used as a place to banish and resettle people from central Ukrainian lands.

In 1820, Bereznehuvate became a military settlement subordinate to the Black Sea Navy.

[4] In 1925, the governorates were abolished, and okruhas were directly subordinated to Ukrainian SSR.
