Bilshivtsi

Bilshivtsi (Ukrainian: Більшівці; German: Bolschowitz; Polish: Bołszowce) is a rural settlement in Ivano-Frankivsk Raion, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Ukraine.

Bilshivtsi was occupied by German troops during World War II from 1941 to 1944.

In 1943, more than 1,000 local Jewish residents were shot by German troops.

[4][5] Until 26 January 2024, Bilshivtsi was designated urban-type settlement.

On this day, a new law entered into force which abolished this status, and Bilshivtsi became a rural settlement.
