The facility is located on the campus of the University of Saint Francis and is named in honor of Bishop John M. D’Arcy, who served as diocesan bishop of the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend, Indiana.
It is home to the Saint Francis Cougars football and soccer teams, as well as Fort Wayne FC of USL League Two.

[3] In 2012, lights were added to the stadium thanks to the generosity of local businessman Bruce Dye.
