Bob Emmett Fletcher

Robert Emmett Fletcher Jr. (July 26, 1911 – May 23, 2013) was an American agricultural inspector who quit his job to care for the fruit farms of Japanese families during World War II, after many Japanese Americans were forcibly sent to concentration camps as a result of Executive Order 9066.

[2] During World War II, he married Teresa Cassieri, and they had a son: Robert Fletcher III.

[2] That same year, Fletcher agreed to manage 90 acres of grapes for Japanese citizens who had been relocated as a result of Executive Order 9066.

[5][6] After World War II, in 1953, Fletcher helped create the Florin Fire Protection District where he served as chief.

In 1985, he helped create the Florin Historical Society, and served as both president and board member.
