Bortelid is a village in Åseral municipality in Agder county, Norway.
The village is located on the west side of the lake Juvatn in the northeastern part of the municipality.
The mountainous areas of Bortelid is part of Setesdalsheiene mountains, and it contains one of the southernmost ski resorts in Norway (one of three ski centres in Åseral).
Historically, Bortelid was a remote valley that was used for some small dairy farming operations, but today the economy centres around tourism and the outdoor recreation at the ski centre.
